Quartet-à-Tête is comprised of some of the most talented
young musicians in today's music world. Armed with tremendous skills and collaborative abilities, Quartet-à-Tête has been
the subject of rave reviews including, "...the group shows a remarkably high degree of musicianship, technical prowess and
artistic direction..." and "...The players create a near-orchestral sound out of their chamber size with superior artistic
sensibilities, clear aptitutde for contemporary music and the ability to take on the highest and boldest of the standard repertoire..."
(The Bellingham Herald). Comprised of violinist Annie Chalex, violist Joanna Mendoza, cellist Jeffrey Lastrapes and pianist
David Palmer, Quartet-à-Tête brings an exciting and new perspective to not only the staples of the piano quartet genre, but
also the many fantastic and challenging contemporary works as well. Drawing upon their collaborative experience which includes
The Juilliard School, The Curtis Institute of Music and The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University these young and vivacious
musicians are also avid educators teaching at Oklahoma State University and West Texas A&M University as well as playing in
some of the most prestigious arts organizations in the Mid-West, the United States and abroad. Currently, Quartet-à-Tête
is in residence with Chamber Music Amarillo in Amarillo, Texas.
